What Excites Me

I am never more greatly excited and inspired as when I talk about the human potential. There is no on or off switch for me. I am plugged in all the time. It is who and what I am. I live, breathe, walk and sleep it. It is not something that I aspire to or wish to achieve because how do I become what I already am? I just do who I am. ~ lifeartisan

Flow

Flow

Everything and everyone have their place in the sun.  It’s all about being in the flow…

Impatience and attachment to expectations are what cause stress and heartache.

When all you can do is… to do and be the best that you can.

And you release it, let it go to where it is meant to go.

You do the part of your story and you don’t hang on.  You let others do their part of the story.

Because every story is made up of many parts, each part equally as important and contributes to the whole.

And no matter how much we desire for things to be so, our desire is only a blip on the face of the sun.

Among other lights that flicker, interwoven with ALL lights.

And so it is neither me nor you who determine others’ place in history- the future, the past, and the eternal present.

Because…

Everything and everyone have their place in the sun.

Our Views Shape Our World

Have we considered the practical impacts of our views?

I agree with Tesla, but most times, we don’t want to consider other view points.  In general, we consider our views more important than others and fight hard to defend it.  However, when views are converted into actions, what is the practical impact of the action on others?  What is the scale of impact – personal/ social/ global/ environmental?  Does the impact have negative outcomes or positive outcomes?  Is the outcome seen and experienced in the short term, or is it long term?  Are our views a hypothesis or have we truly considered the outcomes of our views beyond our own personal space and mental construct of our world?

Our views and opinions are influenced by our perception.

Our views and opinions turn into actions.

Our views shape our world.

Our views create our world.

What type of world do you want to live in?

“Fights between individuals, as well as governments and nations, invariably result from misunderstandings in the broadest interpretation of this term.Misunderstandings are always caused by the inability of appreciating one another’s point of view. This again is due to the ignorance of those concerned, not so much in their own, as in their mutual fields.

The peril of a clash is aggravated by a more or less predominant sense of combativeness, posed by every human being.

To resist this inherent fighting tendency the best way is to dispel ignorance of the doings of others by a systematic spread of general knowledge. With this object in view, it is most important to aid exchange of thought and intercourse.”

~ Nikola Tesla

Surfing The Wave

The waves of change present to us an opportunity to master our surfing abilities.

How do you see the wave?  How well do you keep your balance on the board?  How do you flow with the motion of the ocean?

And if we fall from the surf board, it gives us an opportunity to practice our swimming and floating abilities.

Not all of us are good swimmers, but how well do you float?  Remember, you haven’t lost your surfing board, you still have it.

Those who see and hear and feel will be anticipating for the next wave, will know when the wave will come.

And with much curiosity and excitement, will get up on the surf board and ride the wave again, further taking you closer to your soul’s desire.

Live Your Light

Live your life with courage.  Have the courage to live your light.

When your light shines brightly, there are those who will try to dim it.  It is only because they haven’t the courage to live their own light and your light blinds them.

Do not dim your light just so others will feel secure about themselves as this will only encourage them to keep hiding their light. Continue reading

Being A Leader Is Not About Leading Others

lifeartisan leadershipIn the general population, when we consider the term leader, we usually associate this with leading others.  Leadership can be defined as the ability to “move” or “direct” or “guide”.  When I reflected on this and in my own life, I figured that leadership is not about leading others.  Or at least, it does not begin with leading others.  It has an origin, it must start somewhere.  So where does leadership start?
